Early (1st) owner bookplate with discrete initials presenting to a spouse. Also a nice designed-bookplate of a later owner. Clean tight book which first appeared in 1914-16. Considered a landmark of American versification, done without rhyme. Built up from vignette sketches of townsfolk and frequently presented dramatically , in its era.
