The Spring of the Water of Life is Howard Goodall’s jubilant anthem for SATB voices and organ. The music sets the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins and George Herbert (God’s Grandeur and The Flower respectively), as well as words from Revelation, culminating in a triumphant finale. A trumpet part is also available for download from fabermusicstore.com. The piece was commissioned by Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, to mark the 30th anniversary of Senior Pastor George A. Mason.

Howard Goodall is a composer of choral music, stage musicals, film and TV scores including The Vicar of Dibley, Red Dwarf and Mr. Bean. His settings of Psalm 23 and Love Divine are amongst the most performed of all contemporary choral works. Recent major works which are performed throughout the world include Invictus: A Passion, Eternal Light: A Requiem and Every Purpose Under the Heaven:The King James Bible Oratorio. An award winning broadcaster and energetic campaigner for music education in schools and the community, he was appointed England’s first ever National Ambassador for Singing.
