This fascinating atlas is one of nearly 3 dozen different volumes created by West Chicago's Sidwell Studio, Inc. that cover property ownership across all of Cook County, Illinois. This particular example covers a portion of Lake Township (the Auburn Gresham neighborhood) and southern Stickney, bounded by Harlem Avenue (east), the Clearing Yard (north), Western Avenue (east), and 87th Street (south). A map of Cook County and an index map of this volume is followed by 64 double page plat maps that catalog house numbers, plot sizes, railways and other major infrastructure, notable buildings, prominent property owners, and other details of interest to the real estate industry. Each of these 'Clear View Maps' was copywritten between 1958 and 1960 by Joe Sidwell, with revisions dated through early 1960. Only a handful of updates are present throughout the volume, indicating it was lightly used during its lifespan as a practical document. Sheet Width (in) 19.5 Sheet Height (in) 29.5 Condition Description Complete 66 pp. real estate atlas bound with rivets in original full leather boards. The Permanent Real Estate Index Number System adhered to the front endpaper. Light toning around the edges of the endpapers and sheets, with a few small chips. Scattered soiling and a few dirty fingerprints, consistent with age and mild use. Very good overall. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 5145
