G.G at base of spine represent the name of Margaret Gholson Glasgow wife of Ambrose Congreve and cousin/niece ? of the authors who's full name was Eleanor Anderson Gholson Glasgow.The Gholson name came from her grandmothers side of the family.Margaret's father Arthur James Graham Glasgow was born in Virginia in 1865 as was the author eight years later in 1873.
