Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
R. Duane Ireland is a University Distinguished Professor Emeritus in Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, where he held the Benton Cocanougher Chair in Business. He has also served in various leadership roles, including head of the Department of Management, executive associate dean, acting dean and interim dean. Dr. Ireland taught strategic management courses at all educational levels. He has more than 200 publications, including approximately 25 books. His research focuses on diversification, innovation, corporate entrepreneurship, strategic entrepreneurship and the informal economy. He also has served on multiple editorial review boards and is a former editor of the Academy of Management Journal. He is also a former consulting editor for the Academy of Management Executive, and he has been a guest editor for 13 special issues of journals. Dr. Ireland is a past president of the Academy of Management. He is a fellow of the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society, and is a research fellow with the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers. The Academy of Management Learning and Education lists him as among the most highly cited authors in strategic management texts. He has received awards for the best article published in Academy of Management Executive, the Academy of Management Journal, and the Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship. He received an Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award for Research from Texas A&M University. For five years Thomson Reuters has identified Dr. Ireland as a Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher (a list of the world's most influential researchers). He has also received two Distinguished Service awards from the Academy of Management.
Robert E. Hoskisson is the George R. Brown Emeritus Chair of Strategic Management at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business, Rice University. Dr. Hoskisson received his Ph.D. from the University of California-Irvine. His research topics focus on corporate governance, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate and international diversification and cooperative strategy. He teaches courses in corporate and international strategic management, cooperative strategy and strategy consulting. He has co-authored 34 books. Dr. Hoskisson has served on several editorial boards for such publications as the Strategic Management Journal (Associate Editor), Academy of Management Journal (Consulting Editor), Journal of International Business Studies (Consulting Editor), Journal of Management (Associate Editor), Organization Science and Journal of Management Studies (Special Issue Guest Editor). His research has appeared in more than 130 publications, including the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Perspective, Academy of Management Executive, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Leadership Quarterly, Organization Studies, Strategic Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, California Management Review and Journal of World Business. The Academy of Management Learning and Education lists him among the most highly cited authors in strategic management texts. He is also included in the Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher list that catalogues the world's most influential research scholars. Dr. Hoskisson is a fellow of the Academy of Management and a charter member of the Academy of Management Journal's Hall of Fame.
Jeffrey S. Harrison is a University Distinguished Educator, University Distinguished Scholar and the W. David Robbins Chair of Strategic Management at the Robins School of Business, University of Richmond. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Fred G. Peelen Professor of Global Hospitality Strategy at Cornell University. Dr. Harrison earned his Ph.D. in strategic management from the University of Utah. Dr. Harrison's research interests include stakeholder theory and strategic management. His work has been published in high impact academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly and Journal of Business Ethics. He has authored or co-authored 13 books. Dr. Harrison currently serves as section editor for Journal of Business Ethics. He also serves on several editorial boards, including the Strategic Management Journal and Business Ethics Quarterly. He has served as editor for special issues of several journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Business and Society and Academy of Management Perspectives. In addition, he has served as chair of the Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group at the Strategic Management Society, a group he helped organize. He has co-organized several conferences in North America and Europe that have attracted experts from more than two dozen nations. In addition, Dr. Harrison has provided consulting and executive training services to many organizations in the U.S. and South America on a wide range of strategic, entrepreneurial and other business issues. His clients have included Lockheed Martin, Siemens Westinghouse, American Express, Southdown and Volvo Group North America.

ORDERING BOOKS : Since our internet stock is stored in a separate warehouse, email is a virtual
necessity for the initial inquiry. Please email orders using the Advanced Book Exchange order buttons.
If you use your own forms, we need the book number and book title to locate the book. If you
telephone first, please have our book inventory number and
title ready and please be prepared to call back later when we have had time to pull the book from
storage.
HOLDING BOOKS: After we confirm that a book is available, that book is placed on a temporary hold,
usually 24 hours or until 1 PM of the day following our confirmation whichever is less, to give you time
to order through ABE.
SHIPPING: We cannot quote shipping rates unless you give your full address. Domestic orders are sent
Media mail unless you request Priority mail. Media mail with delivery confirmation is $4 for the first
book and $1
for each additional book within the U.S. Media mail will usually take one to two weeks but can be
slower, especially near holidays.
Priority mail starts at $6 for the smallest books and goes up depending on the size and weight of the
book. This is available for domestic orders only and usually takes 3 to 4 days from the day we actually
mail the book.
These are the estimated delivery times that the Post Office gives us. These times cannot be guaranteed
due to the vagaries of the USPS.
Foreign orders will be quoted shipping based on location and the size and weight of the book.
Insurance is optional on foreign orders, but we will not be responsible for damage or loss if you choose
not to pay for insurance.
If an insured order does not arrive within 30 days of mailing, we can file an insurance claim to cover
your loss. This will require that you sign and return to us the insurance claim form that the Post Office
provides. We are not able to track or make any other inquiries about your order until 30 days have
passed.
RETURNS: Books may be returned for any reason within seven days of delivery. This delivery date will
be confirmed by USPS Delivery Confirmation which we place on every order within the USA. All we ask
is that a reason for the return must be given prior to you sending the book back to us. Books without
this prior return notification will be handled at our discretion and may be subject to additional handling
charges.
PAYMENT: Please pay through the ABE site.
SALES TAX: Washington residents will be charged sales tax at 8.5% unless they provide a valid
Washington UBI(resale) number with their order.
