Unique to this text is the way it begins with assessment tools encouraging teachers to identify how and why students are struggling with literacy tasks and then offers a variety of effective intervention strategies to help teachers help students in word identification, comprehension, and fluency, and motivation. Each strategy is formatted consistently with step-by-step directions that detail how it should be implemented.
