An English version of this collection of children's tales with hand coloured drawings. Translated from the original German, this is a copy of the English Struwwelpeter or, Pretty Stories and Funny Pictures.This volume is a collection of children's stories with bright hand-coloured illustrations throughout the text. Hoffmann originally wrote these stories in German in 1845 about naughty boys and girls.Undated, dated from Jisc and from the back cover which is advertising 'Routledge's One Syllable Series' which was issued in 1910. In the original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some marks to the boards and bumping to the extremities. Front hinge has failed. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
