The threat of swine flu has put all health care providers on high alert, and dentists and dental practices are no exception. Recent months have seen a rise and spread of the type A influenza virus world wide. On June 11 2009 the swine flu outbreak was upgraded to a Phase 6 Pandemic. With the swine flu deaths being recorded in almost all parts of the world, it is crucial for every citizen to get aware of this disease, its correct symptoms and the right place for treatment. Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza that regularly cause outbreaks of influenza among pigs, and thus most of the human cases of swine flu happen in people who are around pigs.
