The boards bottom edge has lost a bit of its surface colour to give way to white at each end, this occurs also to top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket has slight wear to the top of the spine and very slight to the top outer corners. Considered "one of the unsung heroes of modern British art". This is a lavishly illustrated book, mostly in colour and shows how his work is "ultimately characterised by a visionary energy focusing on the dynamic effects of light and shadow".
