A descriptive catalogue of Ancient Scottish Seals charting the years 1150 A.D. up until the 19th century. Each of these seals have been taken from charters and deeds found in both private and public archives. Each of the seals are attributed to a family, and a short description of each. Collated complete with 15 plates, each depicting Scottish seals. With numerous in-text illustrations throughout. This particular copy has been rebound, with new endpapers. Ex library, with a stamp to the reverse of the title page and to the reverse of each of the plate. Rebound in a full cloth binding. Externally excellent, with new endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages are generally clean with light age toning, and numerous library stamps, largely to the reverse of each plate. Light offsetting also to the reverse of each plate.
