What happens to humanity when artificial intelligence becomes more intelligent than we are? In "How to Survive the Singularity", Dr. Norman P. Johnson explores the possibility of a technological turning point that could transform human civilization and the changes humanity might need to make to survive it. Drawing on his background in theoretical particle physics and telecommunications, Johnson presents his vision of a future shaped by advanced machine intelligence. He argues that human survival may depend on a profound shift in how we think about intelligence, evolution, and our place in the universe. At the heart of the book is a proposed convergence of organic, artificial, and cultural intelligence. Johnson explores this vision of human transformation, including its physical and spiritual dimensions, as a possible path through the singularity. For readers interested in artificial intelligence, superintelligence, human evolution, and the future of humanity, this book offers a provocative perspective on how our species might adapt to a world beyond its present capabilities.

Dr Johnson holds a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics. He has held senior technical positions in several international telecommunications corporations as well as founding a high speed wireless internet provider serving the Seattle area. He has written several works of fiction with this book being his first non-fiction. He lives near Lake Stevens in Washington and spends his spare time traveling and rebuilding old cars, airplanes and tractors.
