Über den Autor: After thirty years in the practice of dentistry, the author first began writing children's literature, completing numerous short stories and two novels before his interests turned to American History. This novel is the second of a trilogy of stories of unique Revolutionary period characters. The first novel, The Youngest Patriot, tells of Elijah Churchill, the first recipient of the Purple Heart. This second novel, Swamp Fox, is the story of Francis Marion, a master of guerrilla tactics. The third novel, Dark Eagle, is about the much maligned and controversial figure, Benedict Arnold.
Gene Ligotti is a contributing editor for THE GUIDE MAGAZINE, writing about the history of New York State villages and the colorful and romantic Hudson River Valley.
The author lives in Huntington, Long Island with his wife, Corbina. He has two married daughters, Gina and Lisa and one grandson, Gino.
