Thyroid cancer is now the 8th most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and an estimated 300,000 people in the U.S. have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Our understanding of what causes this cancer as well as treatment and monitoring approaches has rapidly changed over the past 5-10 years. Older textbooks lack many of these exciting changes. This book is a focused look at the new developments in our fundamental understanding of what causes thyroid cancer.
