Uniformly bound by the publisher. By and large these books were reference copies, and NOT circulated. Later editions are in the original stiff buff wrappers. . * FIRST AND ONLY EDITION: This title was only published by the Asiatic Society in Japan, by and large all are this original edition, except where stated otherwise. . * PASON J. TREAT COLLECTION, ex-library copies with the usual stamps, and or small stamp on margin of title page & or possibly another on lower edge, else very clean solid copies. . TREAT [BUT NOT THIS ONE], all with the above gift bookplate came from his private collection. . *** NOTE: A substantial number of copies of this title were de-acquisitioned by Dominican College, from the Payson J. Treat Collection, as gifted to the library by Mr. & Mrs. Richard Davis. This group of copies all have the book plate which is posted to our website as spine.jpg. Other than that there is a5 digit number neatly stamped inside the top back cover, which does not detract from the overall condition of the book.
