Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Mark Friedman has over four decades of experience in public administration and public policy and the scars to prove it. After one year as a high school math teacher, he worked 19 years for the Maryland Department of Human Resources, including six years as the Department’s Chief Financial Officer. After leaving state service he spent four years with the Center for the Study of Social Policy in Washington D.C., and then 20 years as founder of the Fiscal Policy Studies Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico. That’s 44 years if you were counting. Mark has published a wide range of papers on Results-Based Accountability, Results -Based Budgeting, strategic planning, performance management and other topics. Has spoken extensively across the US and around the world. He lives with his wife Terry Wilson in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
