A lot can happen in twenty-four hours.

And when Sergeant Cat Carmichael, Detectives Forrest Goldwyn and Marcus Williams, and Dr. Claire Girard-Gumm find themselves taken hostage as a ploy to help their captor prove a man’s innocence, they realize just how short a day can be. Especially when the kidnapper tortures Forrest every hour Cat and Marcus fall short of solving the case.

Back at the 15th Precinct, Detectives Sam Riley and Avery Girard-Gumm, along with Captain Thomas and the rest of the homicide unit, pull out all the stops to rescue their colleagues and, just maybe, prevent an innocent man from going to jail for the heinous Tabby Cat Murders.

Hang on tight, for this ninth installment of the Cat Carmichael series takes the team on a wild ride that will surely go down as one of the worst days of their lives.
