During this exploration, the details of the duel and the code of honor are explored, with the purpose of discovering what they were, how they worked, and why they were important. In addition, this book recounts numerous incidents involving the affairs of honor and the duel, with specific emphasis on the consequences and impact they had on the lives of the men who participated in them. About the author: Mr. Warzywak is a middle school Social Studies teacher with Prince William County Schools in Virginia. He is a Social Sciences Education major with a strong interest in the early national period of American History. He is a graduate of Wayne State College, in Wayne, Nebraska. This book is an edited version of his senior honors thesis on the practice of dueling in Early America.
