A very good copy for its age of this beautifully illustrated book for children, telling the tales of Shakespeare's plays in prose. No publication date given but illustration on end papers is dated 1934. No Dust Jacket. Cover: orange/tan cloth with embossed decoration to all front corners; pasted on colour illustration to front; very clear black lettering and decoration to spine; little fading to spine but some darkening to all surfaces; slight rubbing to corners and edges but in remarkable good condition for its age. Internally: clean and tightly bound. Illustrated throughout by D.C. Eyles, with 5 colour plates and black and white line drawings; end papers are printed in orange colour on white background showing Shakespeare observing a medieval scene.
