About the Author: Dr. Frank B. Wyatt is Department Chair and Associate Professor in Kinesiology at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Dr. Wyatt received his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from The University of North Texas, a Master of Arts in Physical Education from San Francisco State University, and a Doctorate of Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the University of Northern Colorado. A lifelong exerciser, Dr. Wyatt began his collegiate education on an athletic scholarship in baseball, went on to play on a national caliber rugby team, has run two marathons, bicycled across the Western United States, rock climbed in Yosemite, currently is a second degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, and continues to race his bicycle in the venue of cyclo-cross. he has published over 30 articles in scientific journals and presents his research findings at professional conferences worldwide. His work has involved collaborations with some of the most respected physiologists in the exercise sciences, among them Dr. Bruno Balke, Dr. Peter Raven, and Dr. Robert Robergs. He continues to research areas related to cardio-pulmonary performance and consults with endurance athletes on their training programs. Dr. Wyatt has received university awards for teaching and research excellence and more recently several of his mentored graduate students have produced award winning thesis projects. He is married to his wife Cindy, and has two children Carpenter and Sallisa.
