Side folding tabloid format newspaper. 16 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. Single issue of this underground newspaper embracing radical, left wing and socialist causes (with a Marxist-Leninist bent). The Temple Free Press originated at Temple University, evolving from a college newspaper to a radical paper under the editorship of Bill Baggins, changing its name to the Philadelphia Free Press. This issue with a cover story on Charles Sharp and his role in organizing the Black People's Unity Movement (BPUM) in Camden, New Jersey in 1967. The article also discusses various efforts and initiatives undertaken by the organization. Articles on the military, politics and pornographic images included, as well as a review of a Janis Joplin show. GOOD condition. Moderate toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present.
