Size of wooden block with metal-faced, raised printing surface, mounted on the top: 5" x 7 1/4" x 3/4" (thick). Metallic printing surface is cut to fit the wooden block; block edges show black ink stains. Scan shows the printing surface. Raised letter surfaces are sharp & clean (this block could still be used to print with). Overall, condition is quite good for this type of item; many blocks like this were once produced for a single printing job, but many have been lost or destroyed during the years. C., on the eight day of October, nineteen hundred fifty-five. Whereas The Officers and Members of this Association desire to express our grateful appreciation of the efficient manner in which Mr. Harry J. Coyle has conducted the affairs of his office as our President during the past year, and Whereas, By his character, excellent judgment and wise counsel he has contributed in great measure to the work of this body and his inspiring leadership has now our confidence and endeared him to all of us, therefore be it Resolved, That the Association of Water Transportation Accounting Officers cause this tribute to Harry J.
