1955 British edition of the memoir of French Prime Minister Paul Reynaud, describing the dramatic political and military events surrounding the collapse of France in 1940 during World War II. Reynaud recounts the final days of the French Third Republic, the German invasion, and the political struggles that led to the emergence of the Vichy regime.
Originally published in France in 1951. This edition presents Reynaud?s firsthand account of the Fall of France and the internal debates within the French government at the outset of the Second World War.

Condition: Very good condition for its age with some dark spots on fore edges and cover, particularly at the corners, has been reinforced with tape.
