★★★★★ “Epic Fantasy at it's best.”

It all began with murder and magic. A spell to warn the world. A curse to mark the champion. Everyone in the Seven Isles felt it – Alexander most of all.

The air stilled. The room fell silent. A shockwave passed through them. Everyone froze, faces white with fear. The ancient evil had awakened…

When he loses his brother to an assassin’s arrow, Alexander discovers that his family descends from an ancient bloodline – a line bound by a curse to stand against the coming darkness.

Before he can claim his birthright, he must recover the Thinblade. Seven were forged by the first Sovereign of the Seven Isles. Each is as long as a man’s arm, as wide as a man’s thumb and so thin it can’t be seen from the edge.

Pursued by minions of an ancient evil, Alexander reluctantly finds himself at the center of a war that was supposed to have ended millennia ago. Failure will kill him. Success will transform him. The Seven Isles hangs in the balance.

Thinblade is the first book in The Sovereign of the Seven Isles, a sprawling epic fantasy adventure spanning seven books. If you like fast-paced action, world-shaking magic, and a hero worthy of the title, you’re going to love the Seven Isles.

Here’s what a few readers have to say about Thinblade…

★★★★★ Fantastic
This was my introduction to David A. Wells and I am enchanted! This promises to be an exciting series and I can hardly wait to read them all!!!
★★★★★ Engrossing
I was pleasantly surprised. Too many stories lack solidity. This kept me reading & wanting more. Plenty of detail without feeling like it was just trying to fill holes in the story. Definitely recommend to all readers.
★★★★★ Great Series!
Love this series of 7 books! It's exciting, keeps you interested, and is well written. I encourage those that like an epic series about a war to rule a world with plenty of magic involvement then I encourage you to pick these up! You will not be disappointed.
★★★★★ Outstanding
I churn through a lot of books on my Kindle. And there are a lot of good books out there. I'm currently on Book 4 of the Sovereign of the Seven Isles series and have been very impressed. I wanted to come back and offer my review of the 1st book in the series because it's just that good. If you're looking for something new and fresh and engaging, then start here with Thinblade.
★★★★★ MUST READ
Great book! I can’t believe that no one has made a TV series about this story yet. The book is easy to read, very easy to follow, and so descriptive that you feel like you’ve right there with all the characters in the story; feeling all the same strong emotions as the main characters. I can’t wait to dive into the next 🤩
★★★★★ Sword and Sorcery
Sword and Sorcery at its best. I enjoyed this book more than most. I read the last half in one sitting cause I just couldn't put it down. I will start the next book right away. I recommend this book to everyone who has any interest in this genre.
★★★★★ Extremely well written
It’s difficult to find a writer who can weave together an interesting story with believable characters using vivid clarity while not being too verbose, but here it is! Definitely an enjoyable read.
