Presumed 1st edition with no other printings indicated. Argues for thrift in food purchase and preparation and for government regulation of production and trade. VG/VG- Book has 1/4" tear with associated small chip to upper spine head along front hinge (no effect on hinge, no tearing or rubbing to paper). Light, uniform soil to boards with color, titles and breadloaf figure all sharp quite bright. Binding tight and square' pages only mildly toned and unmarked. Jacket is well toned, especially along spine, though all titles and figures still clear and sharp. 1/2" long x 1/2" deep chip over front corner upper spine (correesponding with tear to book).
