Thoughts from the Letters of Petrarch, Selected & Translated by J. Loshe, J.M. Dent & Co., London, 1901, frontispiece, 143 pp plus index, manuscript lipped vellum, 7 x 4.5 , 12mo. In good condition. Modest soiling to vellum with minor darkening. Sheepskin cords have been rubbed with small tear at bottom right corner. T and L red initials have mostly rubbed away on front board. Red ink on spine as well has faded. Interesting red and decorative end papers clean and bright. Interior lightly toned with foxing, particularly to rear. Rear gutter soiled. Binder s ticket of Giulio Gianni Parchment Works of Florence, Italy on rear of fly leaf. Soiling to end papers. Tissue guard on frontis intact. Binding intact. Please see photos.
