Thomas Lupton held some controversial views, advocating for the national control of morals and religion, and writing tracts and plays with moralistic and anti-wealth themes, while also addressing anti-Catholic sentiments. A Thousand Notable Things is seen as Thomas Lupton s most secular and subtle moralistic work and was so popular that it was reprinted into the 19th century. A very good copy in its original binding.
