With 114 beautiful in-text illustrations, designed by Harrison Weir and engraved by J. Greenaway. Translated from the Greek by Reverend Townsend. First published in 1867 and 1868 in London and New York respectively, this is an early reprint of Townsend's English translation. His translation would come to be regarded as the standard one for decades after, and would be reprinted several times more. A tiny split to the rear hinge, a few spots of rubbing to the cloth.
