Currently a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, Dr. Ladner is a leading commentator and lecturer on issues of child welfare, race, and gender relations. Named Washingtonian Magazine's Washingtonian of the Year in 1997 for her work in education, she is the author of Tomorrow's Tomorrow: The Black Woman and the editor of The Death of White Sociology.
