Decorative cloth boards (hardcover) housed in floral blue cloth wrap-around case (chitsu) with paste on title label and two clasps, accordian style binding in the Japanese manner, (4 x 6.76 inches). No indication of publisher or date (circa 1950's) given in English (may be in Japanese). The 53-Post Stations of the Tokaido Highway. 55 pages of descriptive text in English and Japanese, plus 55 color wood block prints (plate marks visible in the paper). Patterned cloth on both ends of inset, silk on back side, first page is listing of 53-post stations of the Tokaido Highway. followed by a color miniature color pictorial with text Kakegawa and English writing: "A Buddhist pries and his disciple cross the cantilevered bridge over the Kakeriver. A passerby and his wife bow before the holy man. The child seems to be too upset over the loss of his kite - flying off to the right - to be concerned with politeness."
