hardback, first British edition, octavo, green cloth lettered gilt to spine, mounted pictorial inset to the upper board within a gilt border, top edge gilt, cloth soiled, corners of boards knocked and rubbed at tips & a light knock to the top leading corner of the text-block, no evidence of stamps but abrasion from a label removal at the head of the front pastedown and the presence of a pocket on the rear pastedown indicate a private ex-library copy.The upper hinge has cracked at the endpapers but the text block sewing remains tight, foxing to the colour frontis.
