Über diesen Titel
Although greater transparency is increasingly seen as the answer to a wide range of social issues by governments, NGOs, and businesses around the world, evidence of its impact is mixed. Using case studies from around the world—including the United States, the United Kingdom, India, and Tanzania—this book surveys the global adoption of transparency, providing an essential framework for assessing its likely performance as a policy and the steps that can be taken to make it more effective. Addressing the role of transparency in the context of the growing use of surveillance and database-driven decision making, it is written for anyone, both in and outside of government and business, involved in campaigning for the development of transparency policies.About the Author:
