octavo, recently rebound in half brown leather with marbled paper covered boards in fine condition, new end papers, contents age darkened throughout with page edges especially dark, foredge and bottom edges uncut. There are 2 leaves of adverts at the front starting as page 3, suggesting that a leaf of adverts is missing. There is an old owners ink signature and date 1862 on page before the half title page. There are 14 folding plates- one with color. The plates are heavily worn around edges and quite dark from age and use, but still useable. There are 3 slips of paper at different places in the book indicating weaving patterns. These appear to be 19th century. There are some tears along some folds. pp. xiv, 518 plus 14 folding plates. Overall, a good copy of this remarkably detailed work. Because it has been rebound the main detractor is the browning of the pages. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 4219
