The conference consisted of thirty eight invited and contributed lectures and gathered,inthecharminganduniquemedievaltownofObidos,aboutsixtypart- ipants from fteen countries, namely USA, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Portugal, Poland, Lithuania, Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Australia and Argentina.Severalcolleaguesgaveusahelpinghandintheorganizationofthec- ference.
