The end pages are lightly toned with some foxing and there are a few minor edge nicks on a couple of pages. The boards are in good minus condition with light edge toning and minimal wear. The title on the spine is faded. The binding is tight and square. This a Rare First Pirated American edition that was printed in Mexico in 1940 and issued without a Dust Jacket. Tropic of Cancer is a novel by Henry Miller that has been described as "notorious for its candid sexuality" and as responsible for the "free speech that we now take for granted in literature."
