Troubled Mind in a Torturing World and Their Conquest Troubled Mind in a Torturing World is a collection of seventeen essays looking at the things that separate man from God in the torturing modern world. It is being published posthumously after Dr. Thinds departure from this world on September 15, 1967, to his Heavenly Abode. He had intended to dedicate this book to his father and teacher, Boota Singh Thind. Dr. Thind was deeply influenced by his fathers benevolence toward his fellow human beings and his deepest love of the Almighty God. Dr. Thind was inspired by his fathers spiritual accomplishments, which left an indelible impression on the authors mind. He followed his fathers legacy throughout his entire life, and built on it. In the lectures to vast audiences in cities throughout the United States, Dr. Thind often said, The destiny of God is the most profitable discoveryand it certainly is. Now read about this discovery for yourself. Chapters include: When Vision Fails at the Top; Declaration of My Independence and Interdependence; The Rise of Machine and the Fall of Man; Mind Cures Come and Mind Cures Go; Japa-Jap, or Mental Meditation.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
About the Author Dr. Bhagat Singh Thind was born in the state of Punjab, India in 1892 and educated at Khalsa College in Amritsar. His early teachers were the Sikh pundits of his community, especially his father, Sardar Boota Singh Thind, whose living example and spiritual teachings left an indelible blueprint to the knowledge of God, and whose legacy Dr. Thind spent a lifetime fulfilling. He became inspired to visit the United States to fulfill his destiny as a spiritual teacher upon reading works of Emerson, Whitman and Thoreau. Dr. Thind arrived in America in 1912, and spent the rest of his life lecturing throughout the United States and publishing fifteen books, including The Radiant Road to Reality, The Pearl of Greatest Price, The House of Happiness, and many others, reaching an audience of at least five million and initiating thousands of disciples into the Inner Life. He also served in the U.S. Army in World War 1, worked actively in Indias independence movement, and assisted many Indian students in completing their education in the U.S. Dr. Thind left his mortal body willingly in 1967, survived by his wife, Vivian, and his children, David and Rosalind. But his teachings continue to make significant contribution toward a scientific approach to religion. It has been said of him, He was a man of indomitable will, invincible spirit and unshakable faith; a knower of God, who lived the life of truth and Divine Purpose, giving these principles first place above all else in his life.
