Card covers with yellow cloth spine and title in bright blue on front cover. Condition: Very good, with a small faint mark to top of binding at top of front cover. Binding sound. This book was deaccessioned from the library of the art dealer Offer Waterman and Co. and bears a discreet circular blindstamp hand-numbered in the centre to the lower right of the front endpaper. 115pp. Several colour illustrations. This catalogue was produced to accompany the exhibition of work by the Japanese artist Tsuoyoshi Maekawa (b.1936) held between 20 July to 21 September 2018, at Sotheby's S|2 gallery, London. Maekawa was a member of the Gutai Art Association, Japan's most significant avant-garde collective of the postwar era, founded in 1954. He was included in the 8th Gutai Exhibition at the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art in 1959, and became a protégé of the group's founder, Jiro Yoshihara. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 008063
