212 x 216 mm. Print, hand-stamped red, purple and black on cream card. A mixed-media rubberstamp artwork. Signed on verso, printed number of the edition is 23/25 on recto, each copy of this sheet is numbered 23/25, presumably only 25 copies were made, though each copy is unique due to the handstamping and writing process. Includes numerous rubber handstamps and a tuft of the artist's black hair taped to the centre of the print. The artist's handstamps include the 'International Happiness New Prof Yoshio Nakajima Stationist' dated December 5, 1975, 'Ubbeboda District' and the 'International Akademie Des Beaux-Arts'. Signed Yoshio Nakajima 'Intendent Professor' to verso. Yoshio Nakajima, a Japanese experimental artist, was associated with Fluxus East and worked with other avant-garde artists in Sweden and the Netherlands in the 1970s. In 1978 Thomas Niggl and Peter Below s influential Omnibus Press published a monograph titled Yoshio Nakajima: Test Kultur, documenting the chronology of Nakajima s practice through images if his performances and happenings across Europe from the early 1960s. A number of works by Nakajima were featured in the 1976 Japanese issue of Schmuck magazine published in the UK by Felipe Ehrenberg and David Mayor of Beau Geste Press. An archive of Yoshio Nakajima's unique offset print works and associated materials and ephemera is available on request. Condition: minor fold to top right corner: overall fine.
