Items are individually priced but the collection was purchased en bloc by Brigham Young University. Many entries have valuable annotations.The first two parts cover literature, alphabetically by author, and are particularly strong in Arnold, Browning, Butler, Dickens, Hardy, Moore, Ruskin, Swinburne, Tennyson,Thackeray and Wilde. The third part covers a miscellany of subjects including Queen Victoria herself; Architecture; Art, Bibliography; Commerce; Crime; Domesticity; Juvenilia, the Military; Politics & History; Religion; Science, Sociology, Sport; Theatre; Travel; and Typography.
