Original Watercolour 15 x 20 inches. Framed and glazed. In fine condition, Recently professional restored and removed from old, (acid rich), mill board. Dibdin, painter and illustrator, was born in Surrey in October 1810, the son of Thomas Dibdin the dramatist, and probably grandson of Charles Dibdin, the actor dramatist. Dibdin travelled widely in Europe where he did many drawings of old towns and picturesque buildings. He is widely admired and considered one of the best Water-colour painters of the Victorian era.
