Las Vegas, 1982. Sam Mathews and his friends, Alex, Kevin, Randy and Richie have fun getting into mild trouble, small fights, playing practical jokes on local police and occasionally stealing from a casino. Sam's plan to recruit Travis into the group to help in a rapidly approaching fight with a rival group almost backfires. But the fun loving Texan decides to become part of the gang. Travis brings a new dynamic to the group of friends. He and Sam soon become a couple and Sam soon learns to deal with family issues, a new boyfriend, new feelings and tries to keep a personal secret that he fears could ruin his relationship with his friends.
