A Good folio art hardcover. 'Band 1/2 Der Archivarion-Kunstbibliothek.' No dust jacket (if issued). Copy 29 but NO script signature by the illustrator. Consists of pen and ink illustrations on card stock including ten illustrations with tissue guards, a 'Schmuckblatt (or semi-circle tree-like decoration around a biographical paragraph), a 'Vignette'' of a seated cow in the sun on the sequence of drawings page, and a rear, small 'Die Tante' drawing. Bibliographic information and the biographical paragraph are in German. Pencil marks on the front paste-down; two-inch gutter tears from the top in both hinges; and light rubbing in the rear 'De Tante' drawing. The illustrations are otherwise fine. Cream paper quarter-bound in red cloth with guilt spine lettering and two small black text blocks on the spine. Facsimile signature in red of Alfred Kubin on the upper board. Large yellowish stain along the bottom edge of both boards with the boards also having additional dust-staining/soiling.
