Unique Vietnam War era photo album, centered on the experiences of an American solider before and during the war. Includes 55 original prints, most captioned, documenting the soldier's life at home and stationed in Vietnam, with several images of his childhood and adolescence in the US, alongside self-portraits by himself and with other young recruits in an encampment at Long Binh. Other photographs depict a Hawaiian vacation, an amateur rock 'n' roll concert, and the solider posing with portraits of his girlfriend in his bunker. Diverse assortment of photographic formats and layout designs, featuring two photo-booth series and prints ranging in size from 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches to 3 1/4 X 4 1/4 inches. Photographs are adhered to the album's pages, with clear protective mylar sheets securing them in place. The album's creator has written humorous captions in various colors directly on the album's pages, narrating the events depicted in the images. Intimate portrait of an American solider, evincing the overt juxtaposition between civilian and military life, and between past and present in one man's history.
