A very scarce pamphlet.ESTC citation number T64822.'A Vindication of the Sacramental Test' is an essay defending the Test Act of 1673.The 1673 Test Act enforced upon people filling any office, either civil or military, the obligation of taking the oaths of supremacy and allegiance, and subscribing the declaration against transubstantiation, an important part of the Roman Catholic Church.This pamphlet followed the 1787 attempt to repeal the Test Acts. Unbound. Internally, generally firmly bound, leaves A4 and A5 are detaching. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with a few spots. A little discolouration to the title page and final leaf.
