DJ shows a man on a bay horse following or guarding a covered wagon train with his rifle in his right hand, looking backwards. DJ has color loss at dj tips, but no tears or chips, displays well. In the days immediately following the Civil War, delivering supplies to the various cavalry posts in the Northwest United States was a profitable business. Being exceptionally resourceful, Ben Fraser and his partner Corn Pone Kelly combined this service with jobs escorting wagon trans along the trail. Thus it was that Fraser was bossing the train on which Jessie Summers was riding to rejoiin her fiance, Colonel Fetterman, in Fort Laramie. Fetterman didn't approve of private companies such as Fraser's doing government freighting; furthermore, his personal prejudice against Fraser developed into a feud, and his harsh, uncompromising attitude towards the Indians caused grave danger to his sweetheart as well as the lives of the wagon train crew and the entire population of Fort Phil Kearny. The hostile Indians, greatly outnumbering the white men, were helped by white renegades who sold them stolen rifles, and how Ben Fraser's courage and tactics enabled the small military force to defeat the Indians makes a gripping Western yard full of action of those stirring, adventurous days.
