CHAPTER 1
War's a Racket Too
The original book "War's A Racket" was written by a retired US Marine General, Smedley Butler, to enlighten the American people to the abuse of the US Constitution by those sworn to protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and the evils of the Federal Reserve System, Wall Street Investors, and the Military-Industrial Complex.
The General was well known and respected by all enlisted service members, senior military staff, and chosen by US Old Money and foreign money lenders to command World War I veterans awaiting for the bonus' promised by Congress, in camps in Washington, DC. Utilizing the camped veterans, General Butler was implement a coup against President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Instead of proceeding, General Butler remained true to his oath to defend the United States of America. Selected members of Congress were informed of the intentions of old family money and foreign money lenders. Naturally, those notified did nothing, just like the Bush-Cheney complicity in the September 1s 2001 Aerial Attack on the United States.
General Butler wrote about covert and overt actions initiated by agencies or executive position person(s) that charged the General to utilize whatever force of action necessary to complete investment contracts initiated by US Money Lenders, the private owners of the Federal Reserve Systems and, of course, the owners of the Military-Industrial Complex. For example, General Butler identified his actions in Central America on behalf of US Fruit Companies. An example of myself was the guarantees by the US Executive and Legislative Branches for completion of gas/oil pipelines through Afghanistan and diplomatic assistance in acquiring contracts with the Afghan Government for the trillion dollar plus minerals and fossil fuels awaiting contracts to be let.
I was not a flag officer or held the position of authority held by General Butler; however, I had the privilege of being assigned to covert/overt Special Joint Service Assignments requiring a Top Secret Clearance and Combat Training at Lackland, TX Air Force Air Police Special Training Course which included a replica of a Vietnamese Village, weapons/ munitions training, and Combat Patrol, especially Point Man on patrols through a smoke filled forest and explosives in the water along the trail and the ability to deploy anywhere in the world with minimum notification. Equally important, once Special Assignment required the personal approval of assignment by the US Ambassador.
The above cited training was the third, during my career, to attend either Combat Training or live firearms and grenade refresher courses. The second training was in California en-route to South Korea, the year was 1964. After in-processing at our air base, we were issued a semi- automatic carbine rifle, a pup tent, sleeping bag, ammo magazines, first aid kit containing the famous metal needle for self injection should one be exposed to a nerve agent.
The first was the 19 Combat Defense Squadron, Homestead Air Force Base, FL, where the Strategic Air Command decided the Training, weapons utilization, self defense training, defensive and offensive training the swampy water at one of the base's perimeter. Our air force instructor were certified by the US Army as Combat Instructors. Without a doubt, in my opinion, our squadron could have secured any location against the North Vietnamese.
The two most informative and dangerous special assignments were at Project 404 and the Joint Advisory Group's Joint Casualty Resolution Center (JCRC).
Project 404 was a classified assignment, now declassified, to training Royal Laotian Air Force Pilots and non-pilots and manage the United States Air War in Kingdom of Laos, now known as the People's Democratic Republic of Laos. Communism won.
It was at this assignment, the combat and firearm utilization would appropriate if we were allowed to carry weapons.
The Vientiane Air Operations Center volunteered me to replace a Combat Controller at a Forward Operation location near the Plane de Jares even though I was not trained as a Combat Controller. My specialty was Air Operations, which include Base Operations and Command post duty. I was familiar with the Air Traffic Terminology, not terminal airspace control or ground transmissions. No one was killed or injured or any aircraft damage on the temporary duty (TDY). However, en- route back to Vientiane, the last day of TDY, a NVA Sapper Squad blew up the 50 gallon drums of aviation fuel and water during the day. If, the two or three air force aircraft maintenance and weapons specialist I accompanied each day had been on site, we would have been killed.
The Combat Controller return to duty since they were unable to go to the site following the attack, he and the other air force personnel spent the night, in a tent at the USAID Compound. That evening an NVA Sapper Squad fired on the tent and surrounding area and placed satchel bomb on the hood of the radio jeep I used at the site. The jeep was damaged and the personnel in the tent were safe, with the exception of the one bullet graze, on the senior enlisted. However, the US Army Artillery Officer assigned to the site was killed. The enlisted Artillery Sergeant was wounded. The Laotian commander was assaulted, his wife was untouched.
At the Joint Casualty Resolution Center (JCRC) our mission was to recover the war's Missing In Action (MIA) in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam and/or review classified documents received from US, allies, and unknown sources to assist in resolution.
At the end of 1973 or 1974, the command sent me TDY to Vientiane, Laos to recover documents from the US Embassy, pertaining to the MIAs.
An Air American aircraft was contracted to take me to and from Vientiane. At arrival, I took a taxi to the place I would spend the TDY in the Red Light District. To my surprise, en-route to the city, I passed the old French School that was empty when I was assigned, now one could see three tier roads of bunk beds and the area had been cleaned. The communist forces were using the school as a barracks.
We passed columns of communist forces, in their new Chinese uniforms, patrolling the streets throughout the city, even the Red Light District.
I spent the night with a girl I knew before, even though I had rented quarters. The next morning I went to the embassy.
I recovered a considerable amount of classified documents through the Top Secret Classification, including 15 of special interest, resulting in the change in status from MIA to KIA Body Not...
