This VG+ quality edition book was last copyrighted in 1967 and is published by the Random House; it is 11-1/2" tall with 193 numbered pages which includes the "Index" and a page of "About the Author". This book has a slight lean, is very clean, free of edge dings with both lower corners lightly bumped; the head and heel of the spine are not bumped but all four spine corners have slight color loss; the bottom edges have a moderate amount of wear. The spine is very clean and neither faded nor worn, with the lettering very clear and distinct; the front panel is very clean; the photo, duplicated on the jacket, is rather magisterial. The interior is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and paper damage of any type. Both hinges are quite strong and not damaged in any fashion. The text paper is moderately toned and it remains extremely flexible. The book has no remainder mark and is not a former library book. It has profusely illustrated with photographs and drawings, all on plain paper. The VG quality dust jacket has small chips at both front corners and at the heel of the spine, with a larger chip at the head of the spine. There is wear along the rear gutter ridge and two 1-1/2" tears at both the top and bottom of that rear gutter ridge. There is one strip of scotch-type tape near the hear of the spine.
