Dust jacket is unclipped ($3.25), protected in removable mylar, with short closed tears along top edge of front panel, and a 6" closed tear from head of spine to middle of front panel. 1/4" x 2 1/4" missing paper on bottom forecorner of front panel, spine is sunned, brittle, and breaking. This traditional folktale, originally translated by Lafcadio Hearn, recounts the story of a wise old man who saves his village from a tsunami, but at a great cosst to himself.
