They were the most widely read works of their time and remained as popular for nearly a century. Sir Walter Scott was a Scottish historical novelist, playwright and poet. He was one of the first to have contemporary readers in Europe, Australia and North America. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally very smart with slight rubbing to the extremities and boards. Bookplate to front pastedowns of one 'Thomas Gilbert'. Internally firmly bound.
