Frederick E. Pratter, Ph.D., is a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science and Multimedia Studies in the Division of Science, Mathematics, and Technology at Eastern Oregon University at La Grande. Since 2007 he has also worked as a software architect and lead developer for Destiny Corporation in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and has implemented a number of large-scale EBI, EDI, and Grid applications for major corporate and government clients. Prior to giving up the East Coast urban lifestyle, he was a Senior Scientist and Information Technology Directory at Abt Associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has used SAS software for over 30 years and has extensive experience developing SAS Web applications. He specializes in Base SAS, SAS/ACCESS, SAS/CONNECT, SAS/SHARE, SAS/STAT, SAS/IntrNet, SAS Enterprise BI, and Platform LSF software. Dr. Pratter is an active contributor and speaker at local, regional, and national SAS user group conferences, including SGF, PharmaSUG, NESUG, SESUG, PNWSUG, and WUSS.
