This is the highly desirable second edition, bound in dark tan cloth, with gold lettering and design on spine and front cover, India paper (very thin but strong pages), brown endpapers, 1959 copyright 1960 print date, 3194pp. CONDITION: Cover clean, gold is clear and bright, cloth on tips of outer corners just barely worn through and a little frayed at top and bottom of spine; a little loss of color on edges of spine; back panel has a few surface scratches. Interior clean and unmarked, page with Webster's biography has a couple of small tears, title page has 2" tear and lower edges somewhat ragged, otherwise the pages are like new.
